Buyer Database
Did you know that IBA may already have a buyer or buyers for your company in its database on the day your business enters the market?
The reason that is possible is IBA maintains a large database of individuals and companies looking for acquisitions in the Pacific Northwest. The individuals and companies in this database have proactively contacted IBA to participate in this program in an effort to obtain advance information when a new company enters the market. Each participant in the program has completed a confidential disclosure agreement indicating that they will not make public any information related to businesses represented by IBA. In addition, each buyer profile contains acquisition criteria information regarding the type of companies and industries that are targeted, the buyer’s financial strength, and their geographical location preference for the acquisition.
The individuals and companies in this database are motivated to complete transactions. Annually, a major component of IBA’s business sale transactions are completed to participants in this proprietary database.
However, no IBA professional will ever promise that we have a buyer for your company or that we can complete a fast sale. No one can predict that information given the many variables that make up a business sale transaction. However, we do know that each year many of our clients are pleasantly surprised at how quickly they are meeting with potential buyers and have completed the sale of their business once their business enters the market.
