Geographic Area
A satisfactory business for acquisition has three characteristics. First, the company must be in an industry that the business buyer wishes to participate in as an entrepreneur. Second, the buyer must have the capital required to complete the transaction and operate the business. Third, the business must occupy a location that is either within reasonable commuting distance from the buyer’s current residence, be in a location that the buyer would be willing to relocate to, or be relocateable.
The following map is provided as a tool to assist business buyers with defining the geographic area that they desire to review opportunities in through IBA.
